Pugs dress-up for Charity

We love pugs. We love dress-ups. We love Charity. This initiative by Luisa Via Roma teaming up with designers, bloggers, and fashion publications runs a charity auction in support to children in China and Bangladesh. I would contribute with a bid, but the numbers went a bit too high for my budget. Luckily these are toys and not meant to be actual clothes for dogs, although I must say that the little preppy outfit by Marras is very tempting!

It’s always a lot of fun to look at the blog’s stats and discover how people end up reading here. I discovered today that Pupstarsonoma were running a competition about Valentino’s pugs and our little entry was mentioned. Very flattering!

Valentino is not only famous for his beautiful haute couture, his extravagant art collections, and for dressing up the rich and famous for almost five decades. He might be just as famous for his passion towards pugs. In fact, he has five: Milton, Molly, Margot, Maude and Monty.

Pugs and Fashion. Love.Love.Love.

Two of my biggest loves in the world together in one page: pugs, and fashion. Add some vintage cars and a bit S&M elements and you got the Louis Vuitton style for AW2011-2012.

The Louis Vuitton’s Autumn Winter 2011 2012 campaign, shot by Steven Meisel was described by Creative Director, Marc Jacobs as: “Who wouldn’t want to be this gorgeous young woman in the back seat of this beautiful car?” I know I would. And Rico would be so  up for it.
